Finally the calendar caught up with Mother Nature and the first day of Spring arrived on Tuesday. The first thing Elle said to me that morning was "Happy Spring Mom!" As if it were a holiday.
We celebrated this non-holiday by stopping to get ice cream on the way home. Rita's was giving away free ice in honor of Spring, but the line was thirty people deep and I know myself and my kid. Patience does not come easy to us, so $8 at Baskin Robins was money well spent.
On the way home, we drove past Chick-Fil-A. They had a moonbounce set up in the parking lot and Ellie declared we had to go there so she could check it out.
We stopped home real quick to let Magoo out and headed back out to Chick-Fil-A. Not only did they have a moonbounce, they also had face painting, prizes and free kids meals.
So I guess we did have a pretty happy first day of Spring.
