mom....how come we only have one kid?

Elle asked me this three times yesterday after asking, while we were in the car with Erin and the kids, why Erin had two kids. Later on she brought it up again and wanted to know why we picked her (God picked you for us because he knew you would be just like me & Dad). I wonder if she is picturing Wade and I standing in the "girl" aisle at a giant "kid store" spending hours trying to decide which one to pick.
