Today we had our Secret Santa gift exchange while having lunch at a Japanese steak house. See how much fun Christmas Eve Eve can be. I got a pumpkin-vanilla scented candle and a sweet little painting that I love. To be honest, she has some of her art work hanging in her office and I have been dropping some serious hints about how much I love it. So she made me my very own.
The painting smells like varnish, which she apologized about but I really love the smell. It reminds me of college and walking into the studio for art classes.
By the way, the mini chocolate cake that she gave me last week turned out to be a rainbow cake, it tastes exactly like a rainbow cookie, which we grew up eating and everyone in my family loves them. I was bragging to the sisters and they were so jealous that I bought one at the bakery to bring to NY for Christmas Eve.
