I finally finished the last gift last night. Technically it is not a Christmas gift, but a birthday gift for Uncle Matt, whose birthday is January 2nd. And it seems like every year his birthday gets lost in all the Christmas and New Years celebrations but not this year. I love this gift so I really want to give it to him tomorrow, I won't see him on his birthday and I really want him to open it when I am there. I know its going to make me cry because it almost did last night.
Lucky Wade found out this morning that he has an extra vacation day so he might be taking today off, even though he is already at work.
Christmas Eve Eve is my favorite day. Its like a secret holiday. Tomorrow and Friday are when all the really good stuff happens but today is the day when you get to maybe sneak and open one gift early or have a fun meal with some friends and family before the real holiday gets here, or bake some cookies for Santa to gobble up.
We are planning to leave tonight, lets hope we are not crawling up the Jersey Turnpike with the rest of the east coast!
