Its finally here- Elle's birthday week. In my family you get the whole week to celebrate. We were busy all weekend getting everything ready for her birthday. The presents are wrapped, the cookies are made, the candy is ready to go. Saturday morning when we woke up Ellie was watching TV and I was in the kitchen making the cookies. She was watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and the episode had something to do with a cookie recipe being stolen. She comes into the kitchen after it was over and says "Mom, can you make some cookies?" She was so excited when I told her that I already was making cookies and that she could help. The whole time we were making the cookies she kept saying "You making cookies...like Clara-Bell?" Adorable.
Anyway, tonight we are kicking off Birthday Week with a "picnic dinner" in the basement, watching TV. Wade is going to Orioles opening day so it will just be me & Elle. Then tomorrow night we are going to meet up with Scott, Lisa, Ryan, Shane and Casey for dinner so she can run around with her cousins. Wednesday we will have to think up something cool to do, maybe if the weather is nice we will take a walk to the playground after dinner. Thursday Nana and all the Henzy's come to town for the Birthday/Easter celebrations. Friday is the big day! Beginning with opening presents as soon as she wakes up, cupcakes (muffins) for breakfast and hanging out with all the cousins. Papa and the Smiths are getting into town on Friday and the Healey's are coming up Friday night. Lots of people, dogs, cake and fun...can't wait!
