Saturday I dropped my car off to be worked on because there is something wrong with the lights on my dashboard. I was worried it was going to cost a fortune to fix, some kind of mechanical mess only 4 months after we made the last payment on it.
So I explained what was happening and the guy said he would call me after they looked at it.
He calls me a few hours later to report that the car needs an oil change and something done to the back breaks. As he is explaining this, I interrupt him and ask what is wrong with the lights. He very calmly replies that the dimmer switch was pushed all the way to the lowest setting so he moved the switch back to the normal setting.
Immediately I picture my little Ellie standing in the front seat about 2 weeks ago as I got our stuff out of the car one night. She was "driving", and she must have been messing around with all the buttons on the dashboard.
