We spent the final hours of 2011 together, just the three of us sitting on our bed eating popcorn and watching a movie. Ellie fell asleep around 10, I fell asleep around 11 and Wade must have fallen asleep shortly after me, because when I woke up at 12:01 to fireworks (or gun shots, a bizarre Baltimore ritual on New Years), Wade was fast asleep.
I laid there for a minute trying to decide if I should do something since it was the first few minutes of a new year.
(I have no clue what I thought I would do all by myself)
And then I turned over, Magoo readjusted so he was laying right up against me and I fell back to sleep.
