Santa came to our Dunkin Donuts! He was collecting toys for Toys for Tots.
I had a Barbie horse that we planned to bring. When I showed the toy to Elle I explained what Toys for Tots is and why we should be happy to give a gift to kids who don't have a lot of toys or money to buy a lot of toys. After some agonizing, she agreed that even though the Barbie horse was awesome, someone else would appreciate it more.
On the way, she had a few questions: what if the people at Dunkin Donuts think that I am a poor kid and they try to give me a toy? Maybe we can just give them one of my old toys or puzzles, you know and I can keep the horse?
And as soon as we walked in the door and she saw Santa, she stuck that horse in the collection box and never looked back. We got some donuts and got to hang out with Santa. Super fun.
