We got a special delivery from the North Pole last night. A little 'elf on the shelf' arrived when we got home and Ellie was so excited. I read her the story and when I told her that she could not touch him or he would 'lose his magic'. She set him down on the table and said "I don't want this toy anymore, lets send it back." After some more explaining, she was cool with him hanging around to make sure she stays on the nice list.
I've heard lots of good stuff about these elves making life a little easier for some moms and dads during December. We'll see if he works the same at our house. So far so good.
