I noticed a pencil mark on the wall in Ellie's room Saturday afternoon a little while after she had assured me that she did not draw on the wall in her room (without me even asking). I started a lecture on how wrong it is to lie and as I was going on and on, she touched the tip of her nose with her pointer finger, pulled her finger up in the air making a "growing" sound and said "just like Pinocchio."
How in the world are we supposed to discipline a miniature comedian?!
