Garland

The other night I was feeling like I wanted to make a little something fun and I remembered I had a package of tiny tissue squares. So I asked Ellie if she wanted to do a project with me and she was more than happy to help. I grabbed the tissue and my giant spool of red and white bakery twine and she got the glue sticks and we we set up everything on her art table. I held the tissue squares while she carefully(sort of) glued the center of the square and then we folded the tissue over the twine. She kept saying "Ummm, what's this called again?" Garland "Oh, yea, garland." I thought it would be cool to make the garland using all the colors of the rainbow, and Ellie insisted that we use black. Which I did not exactly agree with, but since she already glued it on, we were kind of stuck. But, when I unraveled it to show Wade, I think the black makes it look kind of cool.
Wade down the stairs at one point and was standing there watching us and she looked up and said "Dad, we're making a project." I like how she gets really serious about doing little projects like this.
