Well, ok, its no surprise that in exactly 7 days, 3 hours, and 31 minutes I will have been charming this earth of ours for 35 years. I can't wait. Something about being 35 years old feels super cool to me. I know there will come a time when I dread the age I am turning on my birthday, like most people, but it hasn't happened yet.
So the real surprise is that Wade is planning a totally awesome surprise party for me (and Erin too), with all of our friends, a million balloons, yummy food, three different kinds of cake and tons of fun. I cannot wait! Of course, this is just another one of those crazy ideas bouncing around in my head, he is not really throwing me a party, not this year anyway. Who knows, maybe I will throw myself a birthday party this year. People do it all the time, right? I mean, why not?
I'm pretty sure this is going to be the better half of my life anyway so why not start it off with a celebration.
I mean, the first half rocked, don't get me wrong.
It breaks down like this:
First decade involved lots of family time, bike riding, and Barbies.
Second decade involved lots of family time (big family, what can I say), lots of wilding, and a pinch of teen angst to round it out.
Third decade involved moving to a new state, a couple of crappy jobs, and marrying the best guy on earth.
Forth decade is shaping up to be the best one yet.
I just feel like the first 35 was kind of like the trial run, like the part where you get to test out who you eventually want to turn into and now, well, now I get to really live my life, be who I am and spend time with crazy awesome husband and daughter.
