Grace

A few weeks ago we were sitting down to eat dinner and we asked Elle if she says prayers before lunch at school. She said "No, its called Grace. And you have to do this..." and she showed us how to fold our hands.

Then every once in a while I would catch her saying bits and pieces of the prayer as she was getting ready to eat, or just walking around. So one night at bed time, she asked me if I wanted to hear Grace. She cleared her throat and sat up a little in her bed and recited the prayer from start to finish. It made me laugh and I just kept hugging and kissing her telling her how cool it was. So she kept reciting it. And every time, she made sure to clear her throat and sit up a little straighter. I think she was proud of herself and she knew I was proud of her too.
