Saturday Elle and I went to the mall with Kay while Wade and Brian built our new back steps (hooray!).
We were in Macy's trying to find the kids clothes and she would not listen to me. So finally I told her if she didn't walk next to me someone would come and take her. Almost as if we rehearsed it, this older woman says "I'll take her!" I turn around to see this woman walking out from behind a rack, like she had just been sent down from Heaven to help me, saying "Aww, you're cute, and you look like you like to shop, you can come home with me." I am not even kidding, I could not have planned it better if I had tried.
Elle comes up real close to me and I tell her she can go with her new mom, who seems super nice. Scared half to death, she promises to stay close by me and listen for the rest of our trip. Which lasted until we got to kids dept and then she was all over the place. In all fairness, it was a long day of shopping so it was only a matter of time before she turned on me.
Thanks lady, whoever you are. I will be reminding Ellie of you for years to come.
