Bedtime last night...

Why do we have faces?
Because if we didn't have faces, how would anyone know who we are? Someone might think I am you and you are me.
She giggled.

Why do we have ears?
Because without ears, you couldn't hear anything. Like the wind, music, laughing, birds singing, and me telling you I love you.

Why do we have feet?
Because you couldn't walk or run if you didn't have feet.

Why do we have a neck?
To hold our heads up, if you didn't have a neck, your head would just bounce around on your shoulders.

Why do we have lips?
So we can kiss people.

Why do we have heads?
Because if we didn't have heads, there would be nowhere for our hair to go, plus our heads hold our brains, and without a brain, I couldn't come up with answers for a little girl named Ellie who is always asking 'Why?'.

And then I rolled over, I think she kept asking 'But Why?' but I just fell asleep.
