After work Friday night, I picked up Erin and we drove to Ocean City to meet up with some of our pals for a girls weekend, which we have been planning since September. The last time I was away from Wade and Ellie was two years ago when I went to AC to celebrate Aunt Claire's 60th and Jenny's 30th.
I am wondering why I don't do it more often, we had so much fun! Amanda, Lisa and Trish were already there when we arrived Friday night around 10. We cracked up laughing...a lot, ate lots of junk food, went shopping, and actually got a chance to talk and catch up with each other without any little pint-sized rascals zooming around at our feet.
It was a great weekend! Next time I am suggesting we meet somewhere on our side of the Chesapeake since I think I died 12 deaths while driving over the Bay Bridge. As a matter of fact, I am feeling light-headed just writing about it. That's what I get for trying to face my fears. When we were almost off the bridge, and the blood started circulating again around my brain, I said to Erin "I am never doing that again!"

It was a blast -- we still have to go back to Ocean Pines atleast one more time so we can stay at the REAL beach house :) Just make Erin drive, and you can close your eyes and bury your head in your lap! I am glad you conquered your fears, and it really was a wonderful weekend!
