Christmas Review

As usual, our holiday flew by in a whirlwind of flying wrapping paper, wild kids, lots and lots of eating, drinking, being merry and a ton of laughing.

On Christmas Eve...
Erin and I ran out to finish up a few last minute things, but really we just needed a little twin time.
Wade endured a shopping trip to the mall with Sean and Tim, afterwards they treated themselves to some holiday cheer at lunch.
Ellie and I spent most of the day at Jenny's house hanging out with Clare and Luke and Colum.
Ellie got a ton of presents from Nana & Papa, including a bike which is so cute I can't even stand it.
Wade and Ellie set up the carrots and reindeer food for Rudolph and his pals. And then he took her up to bed. When I went in the room to say goodnight to her she said "Holly Happydays, Mom" I laughed and said "Happy Holidays Elle".

On Christmas Day...
We actually had to wake Ellie up, well we made Clare do it. She barley had her eyes opened when we told her Santa had come and she was stumbling out of the bed to get downstairs.
Wade made the executive decision that the Hughes family would go to mass on Christmas morning. Elle cried as soon as we walked in, she really does not like the music in church. When there is no organ playing, she's fine. Luckily, she fell asleep, so she missed most of the music.
After that we had brunch at Nana & Papa's and then went over to Lulu and Uncle Dan's house for dinner.

On Boxing Day...(by the way I have no idea what this holiday is for, but I think we should adopt it here in the US because as my sister Kerry says "December 26 is the worst day of the year" which is kind of true)
Ellie got her toes and finger nails painted by Emma, which she totally loved.
We had dinner and charades at Nana & Papa's and Kerry and I snuck out late night to the diner for some french fries and gravy...so-much-fun! All of the sisters were supposed to go, but Erin and Jenny fell asleep...losers!

And on Sunday we drove home which was ok because we got to see Bud Bud, who was super happy we were home!
