Ellie To The Rescue

Yesterday we went over for a swim at the Healeys because we have not seen them in a few weeks. So we put Elle in her life jacket and usually she likes to hold onto one of us or jump into the pool and have one of us catch her, but not yesterday. She started just letting go of our hands. And she was happy to just lay there floating on her back, all by herself. And then Wade swam down to the deep end with her on his back and she let go and started kicking and swam all the way to me, at the other end of the pool. I could not believe my eyes. When did she figure that out? And the whole time she was swimming toward me, she was putting her fist in the air saying "Ellie to the rescue!" I forget what she was saving me from, but she looked super cute swimming down the pool all by herself!
