Independence Day

On the morning of the 4th, we took Magoo for a walk and then got ready for the parade. We watched the parade from my cousin Kelly's house. It was the first time Elle had been to the parade, something I did every year on July 4th for my whole childhood. We always watched the parade from Mongie's front yard and this was the first year I had been to the parade and not watched from there so it was a little sad. But a lot of fun to introduce this fun tradition to Ellie.
She loved all the old cars and floats and marching bands, we even ran out into the street to pet a little pony as it walked by. The only thing she didn't like was the fire engines at the end because of the sirens. But over all, we had a blast.
