When my great grandmother was pregnant with my grandma (my mom's mom), she was hanging curtains and she saw a mouse and fell off the stool and the next day she went into labor and my grandma was born. My grandma claimed to have a mouse shaped birth mark on her back because of this incident.
My grandma was baptized Anna Frances but right after she was baptized, her mother had a vision of the Virgin Mary who told my great grandmother that she should dedicate this child to her and for the first seven years of her life she had to be dressed in blue and white.
So my great grandmother changed my grandma's name to Virginia Mary and she wore blue and white for the first seven years.
Now that's a goody!
