Yesterday afternoon Elle and I made some birthday treats to bring to Mimi's house today since it is her birthday. We made some sugar cookies with lots of finger prints in them and blueberry muffins.
I love baking, even though I am not good at it. I love when my little helper drags a chair into the kitchen so she can help and I love, love how the house smells when something yummy is baking in the oven. I have been trying for years to bake sugar cookies as deliciously perfect as my sister Jenny, but have yet to have any luck. I am thinking of encouraging her to start a web business (in her free-time). I swear, anyone who knows her can tell you how amazing these things are, she is famous for them!
Anyway, the treats were a hit at Mimi's this morning. When we got there, Elle ran over to Mimi in the kitchen and said "Happy Birthday Mimi" and gave her a hug while I hung up her birthday banner and got all the treats and her gift out of our bag.
