The "Cottage" On The Crik

Last weekend we went to NY to celebrate Matty's 3rd birthday. Seems crazy that he is 3 since I can remember the call from Dad very clearly to report that the Henzy's had a new baby brother. Wow! That seems like it was a lifetime ago....life before Aidan, Maeve, Elle and Luke! We got to see all the latest work done on Nana & Papa's "cottage" which by the way is not a cottage at all! This place is amazing! Its bigger than the house they raised 5 kids in. Dad calls it the "cottage on steroids".
Matty's party was Saturday afternoon so we mostly just hung out for the day with all the crazy cousins at Nana's house. Jenny and Mom got to see first hand just how much Kim deserves the check we write her each week. The kids were all playing with playdough and Elle kept trying to hit Maeve with one of the playdough containers. So when I told her to stop and she of course said No! I told her she was going to get a time out if she did not say she was sorry. So I started to count to 3. I said One...she said Two...and when I said Three (trying to keep a straight face), she turned to Maeve and said Sorry! (while attempting to bop her on the head) I don't know where she got the idea that saying sorry requires one more smack to the person you are apologizing to. Anyway, Mom & Jenny got a nice little giggle out of that. Sort of like over Labor Day weekend when Elle got one of many time outs at Nana's and everyone thought it was so funny they took pictures of it.

We went to Kerry & Tim's to have birthday cake for Matty which was super fun. They have the ultimate kid yard. An awesome swing set and tons of cool cars and bikes to ride. She loves it there. Matty was having a blast.

We left early Sunday morning to get the ride over with. Saddie watched Magoo for the weekend so we went down to Healey's to pick him up. So we got to hang out with Aidan, Clare, Erin & Sean for a little while and watch some football.

So we got to see everyone all in one weekend which was fun. And I even talked to Mick (in London) on Saturday.
