God's Book and Jesus' Basket...Amen!

Sunday was Casey's baptism and it was great. We all went to the ceremony at 1 and then back to Scott & Lisa's for the party after. Elle kept everyone entertained during the ceremony talking, pointing out the babies, climbing on the pews, eating Kaygee's bracelet. She was pretty good, she mainly stayed on my lap or climbed up and down. Then I made the mistake of taking her to the bathroom to change her diaper and that was the end of that. Once we got back to the pew and she realized that she could get out, there was no stopping her. She would sneak out, stop, look back at me and then take off down the center aisle. At one point I caught her and brought her into a different pew so she could see Wayne & Amy. Then she found the hymnals and kept asking to color in it, to which I told her they were God's books, so she kept opening the book and saying "doggies?". After the ceremony was over and she could run freely around like all the other kids, she tried to run out with a collection basket and she would not release it from her grip so we had to tell her it was Jesus' basket, which did nothing so I had to wrestle it away from her. Shoot! My plan was to start attending church on a regular basis...this should be interesting.
Oh yea, and when the priest said Amen...Elle looks around and says "Aidan??".
