Ellie and I screamed at the top of our lungs as Wade drove down the street to our house, lit up like a Christmas tree, I might add. Wade asked why so many lights were on, considering we were in bed when the power went out on Saturday. I admitted that every day this week, when we got home, one of us (me or Elle) would stand at each light switch turning it on and off to try to will the lights back on, or at least make the other one laugh.
So naturally when we got home and the power was on, we ran around the house turning on everything that plugs in. At one point we danced in the living room because we were so happy. You would think we had never seen electricity before.
A few weeks ago, Wade and I had actually thought about getting rid of cable. We now realize we must have been insane for even considering it.
