snowstorms, sledding and sickness

Last week we got our first real snow of the season. Up until now, we've gotten a dusting here and there, but we got about 10 inches Wednesday night. Just enough to make everything look sparkly and for daycare to close. So Elle got not one, but two snow days. She knows just how awesome snow days are too, she stayed in her pjs all day, built a snowman, drank hot chocolate and watched a ton of cartoons.

She kept asking Wade to take her sledding, and since we had a lot of plans for the weekend, he took her Friday night. At 8:45. They got home at 10 and the first thing she said when she walked in the door was "It was so awesome!"

Last night when I picked her up from school, she told me her leg hurt and head hurt. That she was "breaking apart". By the time Wade got home an hour later, she had a fever. I think she has gotten sick twice a month since September. She was happy to stay in her pjs on the couch for the day, again.

Sick day funny faces.

This is the snowman Wade and Ellie made right before the snow melted, the one she and I made during the snowstorm looked more like an ant hill with a hat and eyes.
