Tuesday I dropped Ellie off at school. When we walked in the door she told me that she didn't want me to walk her to her classroom. That I could "say goodbye to me here" (in the lobby). I stood there for a minute, twisting the arrow out of my heart and watching the last 4 years of my life with my girl flash before me and then I came out of my crazy mom coma and said "I can't do that, I need to sign you in!"
So I walked her to her classroom, signed her in, and bent down to give her a hug and she grabbed my hand. And dragged me out of her classroom and back out into the lobby where she quickly gave me a hug and a kiss and bounced off to her classroom. By herself.
