she is JUST like me

On Friday we took the day off to go up to NY to have a "Shake Your Bones" party with all the cousins. Sean is away for work and Wade left on Thursday for Iowa, so it was just Erin and I and the kids (and dogs).
We had a lot of fun hanging out with all the kids and sisters (Mick was also out of town for work, though something tells me a Halloween party with 10 kids hopped up on too much candy would not be his first choice of things to do on a Saturday night...). Anyway, we came back home on Sunday and later that afternoon, Ellie came down with a fever.
Kay and Brian are in town visiting for the week so they were on their way back to our house for a few days to hang with Ellie. Which was great, because Wade and I had both just taken a few days off because she was sick a few weeks ago. So she stayed home with her grandparents Monday and Tuesday, and was pretty much fine as soon as Wade and I left for work.
Then Wednesday came. No more grandparents. No more fever. First day back to school after 5 days off. She was not happy. She cried all morning, telling us she couldn't go to school because she was sick.
She still doesn't know that her mother is the master of the sick day, so I know exactly what she's up to. When you grow up in a family with 5 kids, what could be better than having them all go off to school and you get to lay on the couch (by yourself) all day and watch whatever you want on tv. Nothing.
