lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer

Well, summer is here. There's no 'unofficial' start this year, we are just being thrown into it. At least around here. The temperature has been hovering close to 90 degrees for almost a week, paired with humidity, making it feel like we are living inside a crock pot.
But we are making the best of it. Sunday and Monday we spent the day at Erin and Sean's swimming in the pool and enjoying lots of sunshine. Ellie is a little fish this summer. All she wanted to do was go in the 'big' pool. Baby pools are so Summer 2009, them and the songs on Sean's ipod, which desperately need an update. But I can't really talk because we don't even own an ipod.
And last night we went to our new pool for the first time and I literally had to drag Ellie out of there. She told me that she was going to stay and that I could go and come back tomorrow to pick her up. She loves it. And she can touch the bottom in the low end of the big pool so she thinks she is the cat's meow. (and so do I)
