i couldn't have said it better myself

Sunday morning Elle and I went to the food store so Wade could enjoy some peace and quiet on Father's day. We searched the house for 10 minutes to find her shoes she had just worn to get donuts half an hour earlier and the shoes were no where to be found. I figured she kicked them off in the car earlier so I gave up on the search and handed her a different pair to put on.
When we got out to the car I opened the door and the shoes were not there. I said "They're not in here! Where are the shoes Elle?!" She bounces into the car, climbs up in her seat, swoops her hair out of her face and says "They're in the basket, dummy!" And smirks.
All I could do was laugh because the way she said it was exactly the way I would have said it to her.

And just so you know, they were not in the basket.
