Petticoat, Schmetticoat. We wear tutus!

On Saturday, we went to a christening for my cousin's baby. Which was cool because we never have family stuff to do in our state, we are usually traveling, plus, we got to meet a few of the new baby cousins who have been born over the last few months.
As I was getting out of the shower, Elle came into the bathroom holding her Christmas dress, which seemed a little dressy for the occasion, but why not? Plus, I have been telling her since Christmas that she couldn't wear it to Mimi's because it is a party dress. In order to dress it down a little, she wore a pair of knee socks and her red polka dot mary-jane sneakers. (too bad she broke our camera, because she looked super duper cute)
As she was looking at herself in the mirror, she said "I need a tutu!"
So she put a tutu under dress.
We drove to Erin and Sean's so Elle and I could ride with Erin and the kids. Since the men were on their own last weekend, we thought it would be nice for them to have a kid-free Saturday afternoon. I was helping Clare get dressed and she pulled a giant Sleeping Beauty dress out of her closet. Which seemed like it would be way too big and probably off limits as attire for a christening, if my twin is anything like me.
So Ellie and I showed Clare that its better to wear a tutu under her dress, that way everyone won't be asking her to use her magical powers all day. She loved it and both girls wore their little tutus under their party dresses.
I won't go into detail on the behavior of Elle and the dynamic Healey duo in church. Let's just say, there were hymnals lined up the entire length of the pew.
But they loved being at a party, seeing all the babies and finally being able to run around outside in the sun for a few hours.
All three crashed as soon as we got in the car and us twins got a chance to gab away uninterrupted for almost an hour.
