Wade has declared Valentine's Day a 'non-holiday' in our house. Sorry pal, you are outnumbered by me and half-pint. We love all things holiday, any reason to throw some decorations up, eat sweet treats and celebrate is ok with us girls.
On Valentine's Day, Elle slept late- which is becoming a new habit for her. And when she came shuffling down the stairs with those rosey little cheeks and crazy, crazy hair and walked over to both Wade and I and gave us a kiss and said Happy Valentine's Day, he loved it just as much as I did. We just may convert him after all.
After much negotiating to get Elle dressed, we went to the mall. Wade has been long overdue for some new clothes so we knew exactly where we wanted to go, the only problem is we got to the mall at 11:15 and it didn't open until 12. Which was kind of confusing because some stores were open...jewelry stores, chocolate stores. Oh right, it is Valentine's day after all. Good idea retailers!
Build-A-Bear was right next door to where we were waiting. Elle took a few steps toward the door and said "Oh my GOSH!" So we walked in and she was staring at all the animals and when Wade told her she could pick one out, she was so excited.
She picked out a white puppy with stars all over it and cleverly named her Star. Star also got a Disney princess shirt too. And the rest of the time we were in the mall, she carried Star around and about every 5 seconds gave her a hug and said 'I love my new puppy!'
