Loaner

Erin is getting some work done on her car today so when I called her this morning on my way to work she had to call me back.

E: Guess where I am right now?
M: Ummm, still in Edgewater?
E: I have been in the car since 7am and I have not even left my town yet.
M: What are you doing?
E: Well, I had to drop my car off this morning and it took forever for them to get the loaner and then it took me forever to get Clare's car seat into the damn loaner.
M: Wait, what kind of car is it?
E: Its an A4....
M: You got an A4....as a loaner!? So you are just cruising around town with your kids in the back of your fabulous A4. How fun!

Apparently it is against some kind of rules to get a loaner car that is of a lesser caliber than your own car. I mean if you are fabulous, you must always been seen in a fabulous car. Or at least one that says in bold writing that it is a loaner car from the dealer, because everyone knows that if you are driving an Audi loaner, your every day car is no Toyota. You know?

Anyway, she was less than enthusiastic about the swap. All things considered she is paying an arm and a leg to get her Audi fixed and she said the car smelled like someone spilled a bottle of cologne on himself before getting into the car. But the speedometer goes up to 180 mph, which is a plus in her book.
