Homemade Holiday

This year I got all ambitious and thought it would be fun to make some cool stuff for some really special people as Christmas gifts, and also make a few fun little Christmas-y stuff for our house too.
Of course that was in November and now it is December, the fastest moving month of all and I am staring to panic. I have one godson's gift done and have plans to start working on the other one's tonight (or maybe tomorrow night). I have a fun little keepsake-type gift for a sweet little boy whose christening we missed (sorry again Little C)which just needs a few finishing touches done before we see him at Christmas.
We also made our very own homemade Advent calendar from 2 empty egg cartons that we had. Elle painted them (with some help from me) and Wade and I filled the little cups with one treat for each day. I think she thinks its cool. She picked a Hello Kitty lip gloss ring last night- the lip gloss was sparkly and tasted fruity.

And I am making some really easy little ornaments to hang on the trees on the front porch. Still lots of stuff on the to-do list, but I am getting my motivation back so hopefully it will all get done.

I can't spill the beans on any of the stuff yet, because I don't want to spoil the surprise, but I will be taking pictures and posting them after the gifts have been handed out. (mostly so I remember what I did when next Christmas comes around)
