Saturday was rainy and grey, kind of the perfect Halloween weather. We spent most of the day getting ready for Elle's Halloween party in the afternoon. We cleaned, raked leaves, set up the rest of our decorations, made some food and Wade and Elle carved four pumpkins in about 45 minutes. She drew faces and he quickly carved them. They might have been the best pumpkins we have ever had.
All of our friends arrived and we walked down the street where our neighborhood association had games and stories and apple cider and treats for the kids. After that, we took off to trick or treat around the neighborhood. We went up our block and down the other side and stopped at our house since it was kind of raining and the kids were kind of over it. Well, all except Elle. She and Wade went off on their own and they made it all the way around the block. Finally he and Snow White arrived back home with a pumpkin full of candy.
All the kids finally fell asleep around 10:30, not bad considering last year Elle was up until midnight on Halloween.
