Ryan had a magician come to his party, and Elle loved the whole show. She sat on my lap through the whole show and watched every trick really carefully. Each time the magician asked for an assitant and one of the older kids was chosen, she looked up at me with those big brown eyes and the saddest look on her face and said "Mommy I want a turn". So for the last trick he called for another assitant and she got her turn. She got to turn a bowl full of beads into a necklace, which she got to keep along with the magic wand that was used for the trick. It was possibly one of the best moments of her life!
We stayed for a while after most of the other kids left so we could hang out with the cousins and Ryan performed a magic act for us. At the end Elle ran up to him super excited and said "Ryan...how did you do that!!!"
We had a great time and it was the perfect way to kick off Halloween week.
