Two Years

I can't believe it, Elle is two! We did a lot of celebrating this week.

Monday we had our picnic, which was a lot of fun except when I forgot to put the gate up to keep Magoo out of the basement and he gobbled down half a hot dog and some mac and cheese. Guess he just wanted to be included in the fun.

Tuesday Scott, Lisa, Ryan and Shane came to visit on their way to Baltimore. We had some pizza and the kids played for a while. They gave Ellie a sweet new guitar for her birthday and a huge Dora birthday card.

Wednesday she got to open some Easter presents from Kaygee and Pop Pop and we finished cleaning up the house for the family to arrive.

Thursday when we got to Mimi's house, she was the first one there so she got to pick out her Easter basket and she got a birthday balloon with Princesses on it. I picked her up around 1:30 and she got to open her birthday present from Mimi- an Elmo sprinkler. When we got home Nana was at our house...hooray! The three of us went to get some lunch and then played for a while in the back yard. Tim, Kerry, Mike, Emma, Paddy and Matty (oh yea and Sophie and Casey too) got to our house around 4:00.

Friday...the big day!
When Elle woke up we had all of her presents out on the table for her. She was excited, but embarrassed opening them. Then we had "cupcakes" (banana muffins) for breakfast. Papa got to the house around 10 in the morning and he, Wade and Tim got to work installing some of our new windows. Then Mike, Jenny, Maeve and Luke got here around 3 Friday afternoon. We took a walk to see the crazy Easter house and go to the playground and when we got back we had pizza and cupcakes and sang happy birthday to Ellie (& Mike- his bday is the 9th & Nana- her bday is the 13th). I can't speak for her, but I think Elle had a pretty awesome 2nd birthday!

The crazy Easter house is a house in my neighborhood that has plastic eggs covering the whole front lawn....adorable!
