Last week I was cleaning out the basement and had a pile of junk for the trash, that my little un-helper kept pulling things from and bringing into the next room to play with. She found a wooden embroidery hoop, that used to hang over her crib with ribbons attached to it and started calling it a tula hoop (hula hoop). And then she turned it into a back pack by putting both her arms through the hoop.
The next night when we were watching tv down there, she kept saying "Tula Hoop..where are you?". So she played with it again until she fell on it and broke it. Last night she looks at me and says "Where's my tula hoop? Where's my backpack?"
How do they remember so much?
