Tiny Footsteps

Lately Elle has been waking up in the middle of the night but instead of sitting up in bed and calling for Wade or I, now she jumps out of bed and runs to her door. The sound woke me from a dead sleep the other night and scared the crap out of me and it took me a second to realize what woke me up and then I heard those little feet thumping towards her bedroom door. She did it again last night and Wade scooped her up and brought her in our bed. I didn't even hear her that's how sound asleep I was.

I should have know she would end up in our bed because when I put her to bed at 9, she was playing with her alligator xylophone and when I went back upstairs half an hour later, she had just lured Wade into her room by pretending she was scared of something. By 9:45, we had sprung her from her room and we were all 3 dancing in our room to some song on a commercial. So at 10 when we turned the lights off in our room, she was wired, not thinking about sleep at all.
She and I went into her bed for a while until she fell asleep and then at 1:30 she was back in our bed. It is fun and cozy to all sleep in the same bed together, but she spends her nights much like she spends her days....in constant motion! She must have kicked me a million times throughout the night, at one point I woke up and she was stretched out across the top part of my pillow and another time, she was sleeping with her head under the covers and her feet up on the pillow. Uggh!
