No,no,no!

One morning, not too long ago, we were leaving the house for work and as I was driving out of my neighborhood, I saw the teenage girl who lives down the street standing at the bus stop.
She was wearing:
a pair of Berkinstock clogs
(which would no doubt drag on the floor while she walked to and from class all day)
a pair of very baggy sweatpants with banded bottoms that were so huge, they looked like they were her dad's
(who in the world thought it was a good idea to bring banded-bottom sweats back?)
a baggy hooded sweatshirt
(sorry, a "hoodie", I really hate that name)
and her hair yanked up on top of her head in what I am guessing was supposed to be a ponytail

I could not believe my eyes- did her parents see her before she stepped out the door? Did she see herself before she left the house? Even if she had gym that day she should not have been allowed to leave the house looking like she just rolled out of bed!

In shock, I quickly called the sisters to make sure we all knew the rules of motherhood. Kids are not allowed to wear sweats to school...EVER!
