Ellie is going to be 2 years old in exactly one month. I cannot believe it. Some days I feel like it was just yesterday that she was a little tiny baby and other days it seems like I can't remember a time when she was not talking (yelling) and walking (running). I can barely remember what my life was like without her.
Her first birthday was on a Thursday, so we had her party the Saturday before. She got so many new toys and she had the best day. I remember when I picked her up from daycare on the day of her birthday. It was a sunny warm afternoon and she was running around Mimi's backyard having a great time. Mimi had baked her a cake and gotten her a balloon and a gift from all the kids. And I remember thinking, what an awesome birthday she had.
