Saturday was Aidan's 3rd birthday, so we went to a pizza party for him and then back to the Healey's for presents and to spend some time with them and Nana & Papa. I think Aidan had a great birthday and I'm pretty sure Erin is going to be spending a lot of time from now on searching her house for the tiny little pieces to all his new "guys". Yikes, I am not looking forward to that part of motherhood.
On Sunday we went food shopping and came home to finish the laundry and start packing for our trip on Thursday, but that's not exactly how the day went. By the time I finished cleaning the kitchen trying to get rid of a mysterious smell (that was still there this morning, by the way), Wade had put Elle down for a nap. So it was time for me to get my first tutorial on the Wii. I would have kicked Wade's bum, but everyone knows Wade is a cheater, so he won every game in bowling. (haha)
Let me just say how fun the Wii is, I applaud Nintendo for creating such a masterpiece. Well done, we were cracking up the whole time we were playing. I see many a weekend spent in the basement playing all kinds of games with our friends- after the kids go to sleep. Because Elle is not touching that thing for many, many years. One more thing, my "mii" is hilarious, I have pigtails and huge sunglasses on.
Needless to say, I did not get much packing done before we went over to the Murphy's to watch the Superbowl. And that is why I am stressing today. Too much to do to prepare for the trip and I am running out of time, as usual.
If I found a genie in a bottle one of my 3 wishes would be organization. (Wish # 2 would be a mini cooper and # 3 would be a magic wand so I could grant my own wishes after sticking that annoying little genie and her bottle in my recycle can.)
