Well, this is only our second New Years Eve as parents and we actually got to spend it as "adults" not parents. Wade's parents were in town for the holidays and they offered to babysit Elle for us. So we went over the the Murphy's house and Erin and Sean came too. (Wade's parents watched Aidan & Clare too).
We had so much fun, just hanging out, not having to chase kids around and actually sitting down for a meal without getting up 20 times or having someone sit on my lap and eat off my plate. Even if it was 11:45 by the time we sat down to eat...it was well worth it. Good food, great pals and LOTS of laughs!
Erin and I wore our fur coats- because when can you wear your fur if not on New Years Eve.
What's funny is that forever my parents rang in the New Year at Kelly's parents house. I think we have a new tradition started here in Bmore.
