Last year around this time, Magoo was hit by a car. Actually, he did not get hit by the car, he ran into a moving car. We were visiting my parents in NY (our last time ever in the 80 Bennett house- which is a sad story on its own) and me & my sister Kerry ran to Target. (This is a little ritual we started years ago when I lived at my parents house and she would come over and pick me up for a "late night" Target trip, which means we went after her kids were asleep.)
So Wade calls as I am cruising around Target and tells me Magoo got hit by a car. And sadly, I thought he was just making the story up so I would leave Target and not buy anything. We took him to a 24 hour vet and they couldn't tell how bad he was, but they were not sure he would make it through the night. We were soooooo sad. That little stinker, even if he is a pain in the butt sometimes, is our little Bud Bud, what would we do without him?
We called the vet all night and they said he seemed to be ok. Finally, we talked to the doctor the next morning and he said he never would have guessed that Magoo was hit by (well, ran into) a car. He was back to his normal self! Hooray! We had to leave him there for the day so they could keep an eye on him, but when we went to pick him up Sunday night, the nurses told us that they let him out of the cage to run around in the reception area all day because he was so cute!
